Yen had seen the Nemo cupcakes i had made previously in here, here and here. As such, she asked if i could do some Nemo cupcakes for her in mini cupcake size and in standard cupcake size.

I of course agreed and after some discussion on what she would like like the toppers to be, I began work on them. I made Dory a little different from the last time but not sure if anyone noticed

Yen contacted me and asked if i could do a Pooh tea party cake for her daughter’s upcoming birthday. Her daughter since young always held tea party’s with her toys and as such, Yen wanted to do a Pooh tea party cake for her birthday.. the twist was that Nemo had to be at the Pooh tea party too!!
So after thinking long and hard about how to do the cake and include Nemo, i decided to do the base colour fondant in blue to represent water, and have a patch of grass at the top of the cake where the tea party would be held.
I added some little fishes and algae to the side of the cake as well to make it look as if you were looking into an aquarium
I loved the colours used on this cake which i thought really made it stand out. Don’t you think so?

I managed to get in touch with one of my old old friends from secondary school via facebook sometime back and i can’t tell you how happy i was to finally get in touch with them again. Ever since i came back from studying overseas, i’ve realised that i’ve lost contact with many of my old friends and had no way of contacting them before facebook came along. So i can really say that facebook has greatly impacted my life by enabling me to get in touch with all my friends again, which surprisingly i never seem to see around town considering how tiny Singapore is!!
Anyway, Marilyn got in touch with me and asked if i could make some cupcakes for her son’s birthday. After discussion with her son and husband, apparently her husband got his way and they decided on Nemo cupcakes.. haha.. ironic how it’s the father who got to choose the theme of the cupcakes rather than the son who was celebrating his birthday..
I guess we are all young at heart and well who can dislike Nemo right
This has actually been my 3rd request for Nemo cupcakes but i still enjoy the process of making these little fellas
Marilyn loved the cupcakes when she saw them, so i hope her hubby and son liked them as much too! Happy Birthday Ian!!

Joanne contacted me after her daughter attended Keisha’s Ariel and underwater themed birthday party. Apparently Joanne’s daughter, Khairina had loved the Ariel cupcake at Keisha’s party, but as the Ariel cupcake had been reserved for Keisha, Khairina had to settle for the little Flounder cupcake instead. As such, Joanne called me asking if i could do some Ariel and underwater themed cupcakes for her daughter for her birthday party which was coming up.

I of course agreed as i always like making kids happy, and seeing their exclamations of happiness and surprise upon seeing the cute and unexpected cupcakes always makes my day
After some discussion with Joanne, we finally settled on the individual designs for the cupcakes and i soon began work on them. One of the cupcakes of course had to be an Ariel cupcake which after my previous experience had helped a lot in making the Ariel this time. I think i did better this time in making Ariel although i still think it’s a far cry from looking exactly like Ariel.. :p But i think it was a pretty good attempt on my part

I didn’t manage to get many good photos and these were the few of the better photos that i managed to take.. so i do apologise for the few photos :p Happy Birthday Khairina!! Hope you liked the Ariel cupcakes!
