Heffalump cupcakes

Kimarie asked if i could do some Heffalump cupcakes for her. Yup.. just lumpy and no other Disney characters.

I said sure and after doing some research on the different positions that i could do Heffalump in, i started molding the little toppers. I decided to use a yellow base colour for the cupcakes to bring out the Heffalump figurines and i thought these looked really cute Hope you guys enjoyed looking at the cupcakes too!

Another request for pooh cake

Yup, this was another request for a Pooh cake from Stacy. As her daughter loved Heffalump, she asked if i could do a Pooh cake with Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and of course Heffalump as the central figurine for the cake. In addition, as she was worried that there might not be enough cake, she also ordered a box of bee cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting to complement the cake.

I’ve done a few Heffalumps but realised that i still haven’t managed to get Heffalump down pat the past few times i did the figurine of Lumpy, so this time i looked at a bigger picture of Heffalump and tried to figure out what details were missing from the Lumpy figurines i’ve done previously. As such, this time, i added the little sewing lines on Lumpy that weren’t there before which i thought really helped to make my Lumpy figurine look more like Lumpy

I liked the colours on this cake and again, i had an opportunity to use my butterfly cutters for the border of the cake and on top of the number “5″ on the cake. What do you think? Don’t you think the cake looked so sweet And i bet with the little bee cupcakes arranged around the cake, i think this would look totally cute Don’t you?

Another Pooh theme cupcakes!

Clarissa was celebrating her birthday and fell in love with the Pooh theme cupcakes i featured on my website. So she asked me if i could do some Pooh themed cupcakes for her I of course agreed

Pooh and hello kitty cake for a girl celebrating her birthday. Lucky girl!! :)

Nicholas contacted me the other day and asked if i could do 2 cakes for her niece, Patrice, whose birthday would be on Saturday. The lucky little girl would be having 2 parties, one in the afternoon and another one in the evening. Isn’t she so lucky!!! 2 parties and 2 birthday cakes!!! Wow!!! I never got 2 cakes?! haha…

Anyhow, after speaking to Nic, who told me that her niece loves Lumpy from Pooh, the colour pink and Hello Kitty, Nic decided that one cake would be a Pooh and friends cake with Heffalump who is known as Lumpy to her niece and the other cake would be a Hello Kitty cake and of course it had to be pink!! Along with the 2 cakes, they also wanted some cupcakes to go with the cake.

I decided to make the pooh cake to resemble them having a little picnic with a mini birthday cake and presents to represent Patrice’s birthday. In addition to these, Nic and i also decided that we should add some balloons, bees, and butterflies to the cake so that these decorations could also be carried through to the cupcakes as well.

As for the Hello Kitty cake, Nic siad it had to be a white and pink themed cake, and as for the cupcakes, she decided on some rainbow cupcakes, flower cupcakes and heart cupcakes.

Hopefully these cupcakes and cakes make the this birthday girl a very very happy girl Happy birthday Patrice!!!

Pooh and friends cupcakes for a girl named Winnie…

Well.. i had a request for birthday cupcakes for Winnie as this was to be her first birthday celebration back in Singapore after 7 years of being overseas. So after some thought, I had a “brilliant” idea… do Winnie the Pooh cupcakes.. haha.. yes.. that’s not brilliant.. I KNOW.. that’s why the brilliant was in parenthesis!! haha….

However, I was thinking that rather than just doing Pooh… I’d do all the other characters of Pooh as well. I mean i might as well go all out right So after lots of hours of research and staring at gazillions of google pages for the indivdual characters, I finally decided to start on making the pooh and friends toppers. I finally narrowed it down to making pooh, piglet, eeyore, tigger, roo and heffalump.

If you were to guess which was the hardest to make… which would you pick? I originally thought Tigger would be the hardest.. but surprise surprise i found out that Eeyore was actually the hardest.. i never realised how many colours eeyore had!!! Any rate after slaving over the toppers for 2 days… i was actually quite happy with the end result.
