Cassie and old friend of mine asked if i could do some Pooh and friend cupcakes for her friend whose birthday was coming up and who was crazy about Pooh.
I agreed and these were the final results.. i didn’t manage to take lots of photos unfortunately as Valentine’s Day was just round the corner and i was busy rushing out some V Day cupcakes on that day :p Keep your eyes peeled for my V day creations

Amy e-mailed me the other day asking me if i could do some cupcakes for her friend’s birthday. Desiree had recommended me to her and she had been impressed with the work she’d seen on my web. As such, she asked if i could make some cupcakes representing her and her friends plus some Starbuck cups. Why Starbucks cups some of you might ask? Well.. Amy told me that her and her friends always hang out at Starbucks all the time and they are known as the Starbuck girls. So she wanted the cupcakes to be designed to include their favourite hangout.. thus the Starbuck cups.

After thinking about it, i remember previously coming across some gorgeous face cupcakes someone else had done and thought this would be perfect for Amy’s cupcakes since she wanted the cupcakes to represent each of her friends. Amy had even though ahead and provided me with a photo of her and her friends as a guide for me. So once the idea was pitched to her and confirmed, i went ahead and started thinking of ways to make the cupcake look like each of Amy’s friends. After doing up some really bad sketches which i’m not going to post up here :p i began on the cupcakes.

As for the Starbuck cups, i did a google search to see what the Starbuck’s logo looked like since i never really studied it before. So after finding some great pictures, i begain the painstaking effort of slowly painting on the logos onto the cups.. which trust me is one of the toughest things I’ve ever done due to how tiny i had to make the Starbucks cup in order to fit it onto the cupcake. Trust me, painting on the logo onto a cup that is smaller than my thumb is not the easiest thing to do. I could feel my hand shaking with each stroke of my brush and i had to hold my breath every time i lay brush to cup. Whew!! So once the cups were finished i began on the faces which took me longer than expected. Overall i was very satisfied with how they turned out
Can any one guess which cupcake represents which girl in the photo? Haha.. a little hint *the cupcakes are arranged according to the sequence of the girls in the photo.

From the photo, Amy is the girl on the top row extreme left and the birthday girl is the girl in the top row extreme right. So according to the cupcakes, Amy is also the girl on the top row extreme left
Did any of you guess it right? :p
Anyway, here’s a shout out to the birthday girl, wishing her a very Happy Birthday. I hope all you guys liked the cupcakes!

Joanne contacted me after her daughter attended Keisha’s Ariel and underwater themed birthday party. Apparently Joanne’s daughter, Khairina had loved the Ariel cupcake at Keisha’s party, but as the Ariel cupcake had been reserved for Keisha, Khairina had to settle for the little Flounder cupcake instead. As such, Joanne called me asking if i could do some Ariel and underwater themed cupcakes for her daughter for her birthday party which was coming up.

I of course agreed as i always like making kids happy, and seeing their exclamations of happiness and surprise upon seeing the cute and unexpected cupcakes always makes my day
After some discussion with Joanne, we finally settled on the individual designs for the cupcakes and i soon began work on them. One of the cupcakes of course had to be an Ariel cupcake which after my previous experience had helped a lot in making the Ariel this time. I think i did better this time in making Ariel although i still think it’s a far cry from looking exactly like Ariel.. :p But i think it was a pretty good attempt on my part

I didn’t manage to get many good photos and these were the few of the better photos that i managed to take.. so i do apologise for the few photos :p Happy Birthday Khairina!! Hope you liked the Ariel cupcakes!

Cassie who had previously ordered the Beagle cupcakes from me called me up again the other day and asked if i could do another set of cupcakes for her. This time she wanted some cow cupcakes and asked if i could do them for her. Of course i immediately agreed, seeing as i just finished a cow cake for Valerie and loved how the little cows turned out there :)
Cassie’s request was quite simple.. she wanted a box of 9 cupcakes 5 of which had to be cows holding the name HELEN and the other 4 would be decorated with flowers. So i happily started making the cows and flowers and these were the final results
Cute little fellas aren’t they

As the title says.. that’s exactly what my friend requested for his cupcakes! Haha.. a little off the wall i know.. but i thought it was quite funny and cute

These cupcakes were for his girlfriend who had recently quit her job to join him in his company at Kallang. I believe the “Happy Family” slogan and the 2 penguins with the “Just for Laughs” monster was to represent the 2 of them working happily as a family in the company, with the 2 penguins representing each of them and the little monster, i assume would be the company. But then again.. haha.. i may be wrong. It’s just a wild guess on my part :p

Anyway, I had come across the idea for these penguins a long time back and have been dying to make them ever since so this request was the perfect opportunity for me to try out the penguins! Plus.. the “Just for Laughs” monster was just so fun to make!!!
I thought the cupcakes turned out pretty darn cute don’t you

Haha.. yes! These are another request for the pooh and friends cupcakes.. but the twist here is that they only wanted piglets on the cupcakes. No pooh, eeyore, tigger or any of the other characters. JUST PIGLET!

These cupcakes were a special request by Ms Chong for her little girl. The conclusion i drew was that this girl must be crazy about piglet therefore the piglet cupcake theme

These little fellas were lots of fun to make and I think the nice bright pink of piglet made them stand out that much more don’t you think! I think they made the cupcakes so festive.

Aizhen and Kaixin’s friend, Agnes called me shortly after Aizhen and Kaixin placed their order for Panda cupcakes with me
Agnes too wanted some cupcakes on the same day for a special someone and her request was for me to do some Nemo and Dory cupcakes for her as they had special meaning to her. Of course, i couldn’t turn her away and agreed to do the cupcakes for her
I have made some Nemo cupcakes before sometime back but had not made Dory before.. so this was something new to me. Dory with her many hues of blue and yellow was a bit of a challenge for me to do as i had to figure out how to do her with all her glorious colours. After several attempts, i finally managed to make a Dory which i was satisfied with and began making the rest of the cupcake toppers for Agnes. I decided to do some spikey blue frosting with some white forthy wash for the base frosting to indicate water.. i thought they turned out pretty nice

I had fallen sick just the day before and was feeling quite bad with my bones aching and a fever raging.. plus the rainy and humid weather didn’t help me much. After completing the cupcakes, i wasn’t feeling well enough to take my usual slew of photos.. so these photos you saw may not be my best effort.. so sorry about that. Overall though i was glad about the way the cupcakes turned out considering how sick i was feeling.

Arcely had come across my blog and loved the bear cupcakes i had previously done here. As she was also going to be celebrating her 2nd anniversary, she wanted something special for the day and thought my creations were perfect for what she had in mind
Her request was for some bear cupcakes each holding letters spelling out “2 yrs of bliss, I love u”, with the remainder of the cupcakes having the bears hold some roses.

However, Arcely wanted something blue to go with the cupcakes, and i decided to do some blue frosting for her to go with the little bear toppers and i have to say, the blue frosting managed to highlight the little bears in some undefineable way.
Here’s a shout out to Arcely and her husband, wishing them a very Happy 2nd Anniversary and i hope her husband loved the cupcakes too!

Aizhen and Kaixin who had previously ordered the Man U themed cupcakes as well as the Bear and beer cupcakes e-mailed me once again and asked if i could once again do a special request for them. This time they were celebrating a friend’s birthday and he was crazy about Panda’s so they requested for Panda themed cupcakes. Aizhen told me that usually they tend to buy Panda themed items for the birthday boy but decided this year to do something both something different and practical, so tadah.. panda cupcakes coming up

I was pretty excited to do the cupcakes as i love being able to do new creations and coming up with new ways to model the figurines so they each look different. This time i decided to make some little Panda’s with only their little bottoms sticking up in the air. I though they turned out really cute and it turned out great! When Aizhen and Kaixin came to collect the cupcakes, Kaixin immediately said she found the panda bottoms the cutest. This made my day as it always makes me happy to know that some little idea i came up with can actually bring a smile or a sigh of exclamation from the person! Gives me such a sense of satisfaction and joy

Unfortunately for me.. all the photos i had taken of the completed cupcakes were lost when my computer crashed on me! Wah!!! But Aizhen was so kind as to e-mail me some of the photos of the cupcakes she had taken. Thanks so much Aizhen. Here’s giving a shout out to the Birthday boy and a hundred thanks to Aizhen and Kaixin for once again being so nice as to order another batch of cupcakes from me
