I received an e-mail from Michelle asking if i could do a Pooh and friends cake with the characters Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore on the cake. In addition, she also wanted some cupcakes in a similar theme.

After some discussion, we decided on the following designs for the cupcakes – butterflies, bees and ladybugs. Well i won’t say more and i’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

I got a mail from Shane asking if i could make a Thomas train cake for her as that was her son’s favourite toy at the moment. She had also done her homework and provided me with a picture of the cake she wanted me to copy and asked if i could do it for her.

After looking at the design i said it wasn’t a problem and off i went to do the cake for her. Here’s what the final cake looked like.. notice the little accents of the mushroom, ladybug and snails on the cake?

Hi everyone!!! I know it’s been ages since i updated my blog.. but it’s all thanks to your wonderful support and thanks for everyone who has been spreading the word about my cakes and cupcakes, and for recommending your friends and relatives to my site when they are looking for cakes or cupcakes for that very special occasion. I’ve been really really swamped and i do apologise for taking so long to update my website. Hopefully i’ll be able to update it more regularly from now on. I do also have to apologise for taking more time to respond to my e-mails… i’ve just been swamped with all your orders so it’s taking me longer than usual to reply. I’m still trying to juggle my orders, responding to e-mails and doing research for new cake designs and ideas all at once.. and since i’m handling everything alone, i do hope you’ll forgive me if i take longer to respond to you.
Well.. enough of my ramblings and on to the more important stuff.. yup!! New cakes! Erm… just a word of warning.. the cake picture is a little x-rated and explicit. So for people that don’t wish to see it please navigate away from this post
Thanks!

This was a naughty cake that Vicky asked me to make for a friends birthday they were having. They wanted something different and naughty so that everyone could have a good laugh at the birthday party they had organised. I’m also sure they had some inventive ideas as to what they wanted the birthday girl – Chryss to do with the cake.

This was a little bit of a challenge as i had to think of how i could make the main highlight of the cake.. or… “the appendage!”
.. haha. This took me a little time to figure out but i finally managed to do it.. or at least i hope i managed to do a fair imitation of it
Tried to add some veins to make it look a little more realistic too! I wasn’t very happy with the globes but overall i thought it didn’t turn out looking too bad.
Anyway, i thought the cake turned out quite well and i hope Vicky, Chryss and her friends got a good laugh out of the cake

Nicole had seen this Pooh cake previously on my website and liked it so much that she asked if i could do the exact same cake for her daughter.

In addition to the cake, she also aksed if i could do some pooh themed cupcakes that would go with the cake. I said no problem and we decided on some bees, flowers and ladybugs as toppers for the cupackes since it would go perfectly with the cake.

What do you think.. weren’t the cupcakes cute

Jana, who has become a regular customer of mine called me up again to request for her favourite… a plain chocolate cake with extra chocolate buttercream frosting.
I of course agreed to do it for her since she is my regular customer after all. I do hope that she enjoyed the extra chocolate buttercream frosting and will be back for more soon

Sheralyn’s daughter Kelly had a birthday coming up and as her favourite cartoon was Little Einstein, Sheralyn asked if i could make a cake for her in that theme.
After some discussion, we decided on having the Little Einstein’s ship as a topper and the Little Einstein characters on the side of the cake. After thinking about how to make the Little Einstein ship, i finally decided to make it out of cake. As it was my first time doing something like this, i was a little nervous.. but i thought it turned out fabulous and to tell the truth, i was pretty proud of how the cake turned out..
Happy birthday Kelly!!

Yen contacted me and asked if i could do a Pooh tea party cake for her daughter’s upcoming birthday. Her daughter since young always held tea party’s with her toys and as such, Yen wanted to do a Pooh tea party cake for her birthday.. the twist was that Nemo had to be at the Pooh tea party too!!
So after thinking long and hard about how to do the cake and include Nemo, i decided to do the base colour fondant in blue to represent water, and have a patch of grass at the top of the cake where the tea party would be held.
I added some little fishes and algae to the side of the cake as well to make it look as if you were looking into an aquarium
I loved the colours used on this cake which i thought really made it stand out. Don’t you think so?

Cherine who had previously ordered the L’oreal cupcakes from me was back with an order for a birthday cake for her niece. Her request was for a Pooh themed cake but she wanted it in pink since her niece’s favourite colour was pink!
After thinking long and hard as to how to do a pink themed Pooh cake, i finally got the idea after looking at some pictures of Sakura blossoms which happened to be in their flowering season when i got the request for the cake! The idea was to do the cake with Pooh and friends with a Sakura tree in full blossom!!
I loved the way the cake turned out and this is to date one of my favourite cakes of all time. And my favourite character on this cake is actually Eeyore which i made cross eyed trying to look at a little Sakura blossom that had landed on his nose
When Cherine’s niece saw the cake, the look of wonder on her face when she saw all the pooh and friends just made my day
Haha…. she just wanted to pluck out all the individual characters to play with
So cute!

The first thing i’m going to say is… GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE GUTTER!!! haha… this is literally a ball themed cake. Angela had contacted me asking if i could do a ball themed cake for her son who loves all sorts of sports that have balls in it. I.e. basketball, tennis, etc. However, as her son’s favourite was basketball, she wanted the main theme of the cake to be a basketball court with a big huge basketball in the centre, and have the sides of the cake showing other type of sports which have balls in them like tennis, soccer, etc.
So this was what we finally came up with
The basketball on the top was also made of cake and i can’t believe how many little dimples i had to make on that little ball to give it the texture of a basketball… i wonder at the end of the day if anyone actually noticed it :p And don’t get me started on the trouble i had making the basketball hoops!! Ouch! I think i spent close to 2 days trying different methods and thinking up different ways to do up the hoop. I just hope at the end of the day that the birthday boy enjoyed looking at the cake as much as eating it
