Shierly contacted me and ask if i could do a cake of her husband and her father in law who celebrate their birthdays on the same date.
She wanted me to do a figurine of both the father and son on the cake and after thinking about it, i decided to do both of the figurines sitting on the sofa.
Due to the humid weather, the figurines ended up a little wet.. but i thought they turned out ok. The clothes both figurines are wearing are based on a picture that the customer provided to me.

I received an e-mail from Michelle asking if i could do a Pooh and friends cake with the characters Pooh, Tigger, Piglet and Eeyore on the cake. In addition, she also wanted some cupcakes in a similar theme.
After some discussion, we decided on the following designs for the cupcakes – butterflies, bees and ladybugs. Well i won’t say more and i’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Tricia contacted me and asked if i could do a cake for her son who was celebrating his 3rd birthday. The birthday boy loved Mickey and friends and asked if i could do a cake based on that theme. However, the cake couldn’t be too large as it was only for a small family celebration.
Due to the size of the cake, i could not do too many character toppers on the cake as it would make the cake look too swamped. However, since the birthday boy had requested for Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald, and i didn’t want to disappoint him, i agreed to do all the toppers but decided to place some of the toppers on the cake board so the cake wouldn’t be too crowded.
I thought the cake turned out great so i hope the birthday boy Rhys enjoyed the cake

Hui Hui had e-mailed me and requested for a special cake for her daughter Sera. The theme of the cake was strawberry shortcake but she wanted the Strawberry Shortcake figurine to be in the traditional Strawberry Shortcake attire rather than the new attire.
I initially had some thoughts about whether i would be able to do the traditional Strawberry Shortcake hat.. but after some deep thought and experimentation, i agreed to do the cake and discussed the design with Hui Hui. She agreed to the final design and off i went to make the topper and the cake for her.
This i think is now my favourite Strawberry Shortcake Topper of all time. She came out perfect and i hope Hui Hui and Sera were as happy with the cake and topper as i was with how the whole cake and topper came out.
Happy Birthday Sera!

As per the title, please be warned, these cupcakes are really x-rated… so make sure there are no kids around yah
I haven’t figured out a way to censor the cupcakes unless someone clicks on it to view it.. so if any savvy people out there know how i can go about doing that, do let me know!
I had gotten this request from Nadia who wanted some x-rated naughty cupcakes for Thomas… she had done some research about the cupcake designs she wanted and asked if i could do something similar. She had seen some of the other naughty cupcakes i had previously made, but she wanted something different.
After some discussions these were the cupcakes i came out with. I know it’s a little risque but i think Nadia loved them and i am assuming Thomas would have had a blast with these cupcakes as well!
Here are a couple of close up shots of the cupcakes.

Jerlyn asked if i could do a small Disney Cars cake for her for her son’s 2nd birthday for their family celebration. For the cake, she requested Lightning McQueen and the truck. This was the design i came up with.. what do you think?

Simon had seen some of my Thomas train cakes on my website and asked if i could do a similar cake for his son. As i wanted something a little different from the other Thomas train cakes i’d done previously, i decided to set the trains on a blue based background with little clouds all over the cake and little rolling green hills on the side of the cake. The train toppers i made on the top were of Percy and James since these 2 were Ansel’s favourite characters.
Here’s a side view of the cake and the trains…
Simon had asked me to include the rail road crossing sign as well.. but i had to do it out of paper and that wasn’t edible :p
In addition to the cake, Simon also asked if i could do some cupcakes for him, following the same theme… i of course said no problem. However, since cost was a factor, we agreed that instead of 3d trains on each of the cupcakes, i would do 2D faces of the trains as the cupcake topper instead.
These were how they turned out. The cupcakes included Thomas, Percy and James.
Don’t they look cheery and bright
I had a fun time thinking up various expressions for the faces and having each of the cupcakes with their eyes looking in different directions. Cute aren’t they

My brother’s birthday was coming up and as usual we would be having a family dinner to celebrate his birthday. Anyway, i remembered his girlfriend had mentioned that he wasn’t much of a cake fan, but loved blueberry cheesecake.
So i decided to make him a blueberry cheesecake to celebrate his birthday. The problem was.. cheesecake has always been very scary for me as my cheesecake has always always cracked. So i was a little worried when i decided to go ahead and make the cake for him. At the back of my mind, i was thinking that if it did crack.. it’s only family right.. so doesn’t matter… but that didn’t relieve my anxiety one bit.
So after researching to see what was the main reason behind cheesecake cracking, i realised it’s either cost the oven is too hot, or the cheesecake is overbaked, or you overbeat it when mixing all the ingredients in. Argghh…
Well.. i just bit my tongue and just decided to go ahead to bake it and just keep my fingers crossed that all would go well. Once i placed the cake into the oven, i spent nearly every 1/2 hour checking on the cake and hoping and praying that the cake wouldn’t crack. When i finally deemed the cake cooked and took it out i was ecstatic to see that it hadn’t cracked!! I loved too the look of the blueberry syrup ripples that i had going through the cake as well. Isn’t it gorgeous!
To oomph up the blueberry flavour of the cake, i decided to layer of blueberries on the top of the cake but as i didn’t want the blueberry syrup to drip down the sides of the cake and ruin the look of the cake, i made a little whipped cream border around the edge of the cake to act as a stopper. Then i slowly poured on the blueberries and the syrup on the top of the cake after the cake was well chilled.
The cake turned out fabulous and i was really happy with the way it turned out!

Evelyn wanted something special for her friend Charles for his birthday.. and since he is a basketball fan, she asked if i could do some basketball cupcakes for her.. but she wanted me to include Kobe’s basketball shoes and Kobe as one of the toppers for the cupcakes.
I said no problem.. although due to the size of the toppers i of course wouldn’t be able to capture his splitting image.. but she said so long as it looks ok.. she was fine with it. Isn’t she nice
Anyway, these were what the final cupcakes looked like. I loved the colour combination
