Cherine who had previously ordered the L’oreal cupcakes from me was back with an order for a birthday cake for her niece. Her request was for a Pooh themed cake but she wanted it in pink since her niece’s favourite colour was pink!

 

After thinking long and hard as to how to do a pink themed Pooh cake, i finally got the idea after looking at some pictures of Sakura blossoms which happened to be in their flowering season when i got the request for the cake! The idea was to do the cake with Pooh and friends with a Sakura tree in full blossom!!

 

I loved the way the cake turned out and this is to date one of my favourite cakes of all time.  And my favourite character on this cake is actually Eeyore which i made cross eyed trying to look at a little Sakura blossom that had landed on his nose

 

When Cherine’s niece saw the cake, the look of wonder on her face when she saw all the pooh and friends just made my day Haha…. she just wanted to pluck out all the individual characters to play with So cute!
