Chinese New Year themed cupcakes!!!

CNY cupcakes

My hubby’s boss opened up his house for Chinese New Year and invited all his colleagues as well as their families to his place for Chinese New Year lunch.

As i didn’t want to go empty handed, i decided to make some Chinese New Year themed cupcakes to bring to the house. After thinking about what you must always have for Chinese New Year and what are some of the first things that pop into your head when you think of Chinese New Year, i finally settled on doing mandarin oranges, fire crackers, ang pao’s but of course and lastly a lion head :)

Among all, i think i liked the lion head the best :) I also tried to add some gold glitter to the words but i think it didn’t really turn out in the photos :p Overall i think the cupcakes were a smash at the party :)
