Cassie who had ordered some other cupcakes came back and asked me to do another batch of cupcakes for her friend’s birthday. Her request was for branded bag cupcakes such as LV and Chanel.

These were the final product
I was quite happy with them and i hope the birthday girl liked it too!

Jana had come across my website and wanted a cake similar to one that I’d done previously here for a baby’s 1st month celebration.
After speaking to Jana to find out more about what she wanted on the cake and obtaining pictures of her family, i set out to do the figurines for her. As i wanted something a little different from the other family cake i did for Joanna i decided to change the family positions a little as well as have the baby sucking on a bottle rather than just being held in her mother’s arms.
I liked how the final design turned out and hopefully Jana liked it too

Winnie e-mailed me the other day asking if i could do some toy car cake toppers for her. She wanted an ambulance, police car and a little truck topper together with her son’s name and age so her son could decorate the cake himself.
Part of the reason behind her wanting edible cake toppers rather than plastic toy cars was because she felt that her son already had too many toys and that her son would have a good time decorating the cake himself
I agreed to do the toppers and these were what the final product looked like. I thought it looked pretty cute don’t you agree?

This post is coming super late and yes i know Valentine’s was like nearly 3 weeks ago!!! I know i know.. haha.. so sorry.. i had to find some time to sort out all my pictures, re-size them, etc before i could get my posts up :p
Anyway, this was my special valentine celebration with my hubby this year which i’d thought i’d share with all of you
This was actually very similar to the very first Valentine’s Day i celebrated with him where instead of going out to celebrate Valentine’s Day he had invited me over to his place instead and said that he’d cook me a special Valentine’s Day meal. When i arrived, i was expecting him to be in a mad rush trying to get everything ready and with his hair stuck on end and a big mess on his shirt. Instead what i found when i arrived was a beautifully cooked steak with a side of mash potatoes, all laid out on a romantically candle-lit table for 2!!! He had even taken the effort to a lay a table cloth over the table!!! After the romantic dinner for 2, he then led me from the table, asked me to close my eyes and led me to my Valentine’s Day present which was a big Forever Friends Sugar Bear holding a bouquet of roses… and… to top off the whole evening, he seranaded me to a love song with the accompaniment of his guitar…. wasn’t he romantic!!!
This year, i think my hubby wanted to recapture our first Valentine’s Day experience all over again and we decided to cook our own special meal. What was on the menu, well… a delicious crouton salad, roasted lamb in an aromatic rosemary and herb sauce, fried olive rice, and for dessert, sinfully rich milk chocolate mousse.
We decided to cheat with the salad and just bought the individualised packeted salads from Cold Storage, and while hubby cooked the roasted lamb, i tackled the fried olive rice and chocolate mousse. The dinner was a really sinful affair and we both were stuffed at the end of the meal. As for the chocolate mousse, it was a sinfully rich dessert that just melted on the tongue…
I do hope to share the recipes for everything in one of my posts later on once i get everything properly organised.. but for now.. there’s only the pictures for you to drool over!!

I got a request for a really specialised valentine day cupcakes which i had a great time making. The reason was that this particular batch of cupcakes were really really customised. Every single cupcake was different and every single cupcake had a little story attached to it for the couple.

Unfortunately, they had requested that i not name who they are.. so sorry no names
The girl had requested for these special cupcakes for her boyfriend and each cupcake topper was specifically requested by her as they each had a special meaning for her and her boyfriend. What were the cupcake toppers she requested for you might ask? Well, these included a boy and girl figurine to represent the 2 of them, a figurine of a boy who was still in his army uniform with a handphone in his hand as the he used to wait for her call all the time when he was in the army, cathay movie tickets since they love to watch movies, a dragon and a snake to represent each of their zodiac signs, Mr Bean since the boy loves soya bean, and i even got a chance to try my hand at making a carebear cupcake again!! Yay! There were also several other toppers which i shall not go on to name, but i really thought that this was such as sweet gift since each and every single topper had a special meaning for the couple and was a celebration of little captions of the love.

Although these cupcakes took quite a bit of time to make, since every single cupcake had a different topper and required a different colour fondant, i was really happy with the way they turned out and hope that the boy loved the cupcakes when he got it, especially since there was so much thought and meaning behind each and every single topper for this very special valentine’s gift
Happy Valentine’s Day you two
